On behalf of the club, I would like to thank everyone that participated in this years Member-Member. We hosted 88 members competing to be a major champion. After the completion of Saturday and Sunday’s round, we crowned our champions Michael Green and Jerry Broadway. Member credits have been applied to all the winners accounts and you can now use those credits for golf shop merchandise.

Congratulations to our 2025 Member-Member Champions Jerry Broadway and Michael Green! Their final score of 12 under par in the first flight was good enough to get them into the head-to-head alternate shot shootout which they won to become champions.

HUNTERSVILLE, NC (Skybrook Golf Club) —

On Friday May 2 at 7:00pm, the club will be kicking off its first major of the year, the Member-Member, with the pairing party dinner. Round one will commence on Saturday morning with tee times starting at 8:00am, and round two will begin on Sunday morning with tee times at 8:00am.

Sunday evening of the Member-Member is one of the most exciting times at the club as we host the annual shootout. Where each low gross and low net winner from each flight will face each other in a head-to-head alternate shot event, ending on #9. We encourage all members to come out and watch the dramatic ending to one of the club’s greatest events.

Looking back on March, we had many small victories at Skybrook Golf Club! The Toptracer Range continues to make progress week by week, and excitement is building for its grand opening. We’re excited to welcome a new face to the Skybrook staff, Deac Dawson, our new Teaching Professional.

Finally, our first event of the year, the Kick-Off Classic, was a success – it was wonderful to see so many familiar faces back in action for a friendly competition.

We are excited to announce our grass driving range reopened on March 1st! While Toptracer Range construction is still underway after progress was delayed due to weather, we are looking forward to seeing golfers down at the practice area once again.

As a reminder, range balls can only be bought in the Golf Shop during this time at $8 for a small bag of balls.

On behalf of the golf club, ownership group, and management company at Skybrook Golf Club, we would like to take this opportunity to let everyone know we have selected a new golf course superintendent.

It is with great pleasure that we announce Chuck Smith has been selected to serve as our new golf course Superintendent. Chuck’s began work on Monday, February 17^th and he is excited to take on the challenge of making our playing conditions the best in class in the Charlotte area.

Chuck has over 30 years’ experience in golf course maintenance and agronomy with a variety of facility types including private, semi-private and daily fee. He is a member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association and has strong horticulture and mechanical aptitudes. Chuck received his education from North Carolina State University with a mechanical engineering curriculum and turf grass management.

He most recently served as the golf course superintendent at Tega Cay Golf Club and is currently serving as the Director of Agronomy with Pinnacle Golf Properties covering 13 courses in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.

Skybrook Golf Club is honored to have a superintendent like Chuck on our team and we look forward to him becoming an integral part of your Skybrook experience. Chucks knowledge and experience will be at the forefront as he works passionately to achieve our goal for Skybrook of being best in class and a wonderful place we call home.

It’s safe to say that Skybrook Golf Club is looking forward to warmer days! We truly appreciate everyone’s patience as we navigate the challenges of the off-season weather.

With Mother Nature in control, Skybrook had to close for a total of 15 days in January. We could not have anticipated such a forecast. We hope you join us in February as we inch back towards warmer weather!

The holiday season is a time for joy, warmth, and community. It’s a time to reflect on the blessings of the past year and look forward to new beginnings. Whether spent with loved ones, friends, or your golfing buddies, remember to enjoy the simple pleasures of the season, as this time of the year brings a special kind of joy.

As I reflect over this year, I remember the wonderful memories of crowing our Major Champions (Jay Roberts, Jordan Maves, Chad Badger, and Rusty Davis), repairing the bunkers, renovating the golf shop, receiving our new EZGO cart fleet, as well as beginning our driving range renovation. All of these could not have been accomplished without your support! We are excited for 2025 and creating new memories with all our Skybrook members.

We officially broke ground in late October on two new projects at Skybrook Golf Club and we hope you’re as excited as we are! The driving range and short game facility re-model will include Toptracer Range Technology, comfortable sitting areas, a unisex restroom, and fun for the entire family.

In addition, a new parking lot will be built on the lower level of the current range to accommodate the anticipated increase in traffic.
