On behalf of the golf club, ownership group, and management company at Skybrook Golf Club, we would like to take this opportunity to let everyone know we have selected a new golf course superintendent.
It is with great pleasure that we announce Chuck Smith has been selected to serve as our new golf course Superintendent. Chuck’s began work on Monday, February 17th and he is excited to take on the challenge of making our playing conditions the best in class in the Charlotte area.
Chuck has over 30 years’ experience in golf course maintenance and agronomy with a variety of facility types including private, semi-private and daily fee. He is a member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association and has strong horticulture and mechanical aptitudes. Chuck received his education from North Carolina State University with a mechanical engineering curriculum and turf grass management.
He most recently served as the golf course superintendent at Tega Cay Golf Club and is currently serving as the Director of Agronomy with Pinnacle Golf Properties covering 13 courses in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.
Skybrook Golf Club is honored to have a superintendent like Chuck on our team and we look forward to him becoming an integral part of your Skybrook experience. Chucks knowledge and experience will be at the forefront as he works passionately to achieve our goal for Skybrook of being best in class and a wonderful place we call home.
